Sorakaya Garelu Recipe

Ingredients :
Sorakaya / Bottle guard - 2 cups
Rice flour - 2 cups
Sesame seeds- 2 tbl spoons
Coriander leaves -2 tbl spoons finely chopped
Curry leaves- 1 tbl spn chopped
Jeera -1 tspn
Green chillies- 2 finely chopped
Ginger -1 tspn finely chopped
Salt-to taste
Oil - for deep frying
Directions:
To make the recipe first peel the bottle guard and remove the seeds then grate very well.Take a bowl put grated sorakaya and rice flour.
Then add finely chopped green chillies,chopped coriander leaves,chopped curry leaves ,sesame seeds,jeera,ginger and salt to taste.Mix it very well.You can make a dough with those ingredients.Don't add any water.Make a dough like not too harder not to soft (Garela pindi).If you press it you can easy to make thin vada.
And now take a frying pan pour oil for deep frying.Let the oil heated medium.While the oil is heating take a zip lock cover or any kind of plastic cover put little oil to the cover and make small balls to the dough.And take a dough ball and press it like vada put a hole in between and put it into the oil. Don't put vada in very hot oil.Garelu will burn easily.
Drop the vada now and fry them till it becomes golden brown color and remove it and put on a paper towel. So,the excess oil goes off.Now the garelu is ready to eat.Middle will be soft and edges are crispy and it looks great.Serve with any curry or without curry tastes wonderful.Enjoy the snacks !!
