Corn Vada (Mokkajonna garelu)

Corn vada (Garelu) Recipe
Preparation Time : 20 min
Cooking Time :30 min
Yield :4-5 people
Ingredients:
Corn kernels -3 cups (In the US you will find only sweet corns.so,I used sweet corn)
Corn flour - 2 cups (Add only if the corn kernel paste is watery)
Onion - 1 small chopped
Green chilli - 4
Garlic - 2 pods
Cumin seeds - 1 tblspn
Salt - to taste
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Curry leaves - 10 leaves chopped
Amarnath leaves - 1 cup chopped
Directions:
First take a grinder and add the corn kernels,onion,green chillis,garlic pods,cumin seeds and salt.Grind them into a coarse paste.Then put it into a bowl.Don't add any water while grinding.Add corn flour If the vada batter is watery.Add chopped coriander leaves,chopped amarnath leaves,chopped curry leaves and mix it very well.Next take a zip lock cover or any kind of cover and take the vada batter and make into a vada on the cover.Put a hole in the middle of the vada. Heat the oil in a pan and slowly drop the vada into the oil.Fry them both sides on a medium high until it turns golden brown color. Remove the vada and put it on the paper towel.Done.Serve it with sabudana kheer (saggubiyyam payasam).It tastes really wonderful.Or eat with any non-veg curry.Enjoy!!
Take all ingredients
Make it into a coarse paste
Add all kind of leaves
Drop it into the oil and fry it.
Enjoy with sabudana kheer
