Kara boondi Recipe

Yield :4 people
Ingredients:
Gram flour ( Besan) - 2 cups
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Water - 2 -3 cups to make batter
Peanuts - 1/2 cup
Salt - according to taste
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Curry leaves - 6-7
Garlic pods - 3 to 4 (Crush little)
Oil - for deep fry
For masala :
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Salt - 1 pinch
Coriander powder - 1/2 tspn
Chat masala - 1/2 tspn
Directions :
First make the batter with water,gram flour,rice flour,chilli powder and salt.Next take the bowl with holes and make the boondi.You can see how to make boondi here.Fry them for about 3 to 4 minutes and then remove it.Then fry the peanuts and put it a side.If you want to you can add some cashew nuts too.It tastes great.Now fry the curry leaves and garlic pods in the same oil and put it in the boondi mixture.Now mix the masala mix and add it to the boondi mixture.Now the boondi mixture is ready.Enjoy!!
Take all Ingredients |
Mix Gram flour,water |
Take a bowl with holes |
Heat oil in a pan |
Make Boondi |
Transfer to the mesh strainer |
Fry the peanuts |
Fry the curry leaves and garlic |
Add to all fried items |
Mix chilli powder,salt,coriander powder, chat masala |
Done |
