Vanilla Sponge Cake


                         Vanilla Sponge Cake Recipe
Preparation Time : 15 min
Cooking Time : 35- 40 min
Yield : 7-8 people
Ingredients:
Eggs - 6
Bleached flour -1 cup
Vanilla Extract -1 tspn
Sugar - 1 cup
Lemon Zest -1/2 tspn
Milk - 2 tblspn
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. First, take the eggs and separate into the yolks and whites.
Beat the whites first until it forms soft peaks on high speed.Then,put a side.Now take the sugar and beat it with yolks until you get a creamy texture.
Add vanilla and lime zest and continue to beat.Add the flour little by little in the yolks and mix it with a spatula slowly.Take the yolk and flour mixture and mix it with the whites very gently.
Take the cake pan and apply it with some butter.
Add the cake batter into the cake pan and put it into the oven.Bake the cake for about 35- 40 min.
Take cake out put it on the cooling rack.The Sponge cake is ready.Enjoy!
Note :I got this recipe from Joy of baking.I changed the recipe a little bit here and there.It came out very well.


Beat egg whites
Soft peaks


Beat the yolks

Add lemon zest

Add vanilla essence

Beat it again

Add flour

Mix it with spatula

Mixing is done

Add the yolk mixture to egg whites

Pour it in the baking pan

Done!
