Ridge Gourd with Chana Dal Curry



Ridge Gourd with Chana Dal Curry Recipe:
Preparation Time : 15 min
Cooking Time : 30 min
Yield : 2 People

Ingredients :

Ridge Gourd - 2 medium size
Chana dal - 3 tblspn
Onions - 1/2 cup chopped
Green chillies - 4 to 5 chopped
Curry leaves - 4 to 5
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2tblspn
Mustard seeds - 1tspn
Cumin Seeds - 1tspn
Urad dal - 1tspn
Turmeric Powder - 1/2tspn
Coriander leaves - for garnish

Directions:
First take Ridge gourd and peel off the skin.Cut into small chunks.
Take Chana dal and soak it in water about 30 minutes.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urad dal and fry until they are splutter.Now add green chillis,curry leaves,onions and fry it about 1 minute.Now add chana dal and fry it about 2 minutes.Then add ridge gourd pieces and little salt.Mix it well combined.Now put the lid on,Let this cook for about 30 minutes on a medium low flame.Mix the curry in between.Don't add any water,the ridge gourd will oozing some water.Transfer to the serving bowl and serve with rice.Enjoy!!!


Take all your Ingredients

Add oil,mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urad dal

Add onions,green chillis,curry leaves,turmeric 


Add chana dal

Add ridge gourd pieces

Put the lid

Cook for 30 min

Done
