Ingredients :
Green Mango - 2 mangoes (medium size) cut in into small chunks
Chilli powder - 1 cup
Sesame seeds - 1 cup
Salt - 1 cup
Oil - 1 1/2 cup
Mustard powder - 1tblspn
Fenugreek seeds powder ( methi seeds) - 1 tspn
Red chillis - 2 cut into pieces
Garlic - 10 cloves
Curry leaves -6-8
Mustard seeds - 1 tblspn
Jeera - 1 tspn
Directions:
First chop the mango pieces and put it into a bowl .Add 1/2 tspn turmeric powder and 1/4 cup salt then mix it well and put a side for about 24 hours.Next day take the sesame seeds,mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds toast separately ,and grind fine powder separately.Take a mixing bowl and add sesame seeds powder ,chilli powder,salt,mustard powder and fenugreek powder and mix well combined.Now heat the oil in a pan ,when the oil is hot add mustard seeds and jeera. When they splutter add garlic cloves next add red chillis and curry leaves then turn off the stove.
Wait for 5 min then add powder mix into the oil and mix very well.Wait until the mix is cool add mango pieces and mix.Mango avakaya ready.Enjoy with hot rice with ghee or without ghee.
